:: Happy Pets: Natural Homemade Pet Food Cooking Class::
Sanae will be speaking about how to help your pet be happy and healthy through natural homemade foods, lifestyle suggestions, and a loving atmosphere. She will share some wonderful recipes on how to make your own food and snacks to help you pet be its best.
Sanae Suzuki is a Whole Health Macrobiotic Counselor, Flower Essences Practitioner and Certified Therapeutic Massage Therapist for people and pets. She is a long time student of Michio Kushi, world leader of macrobiotic education, and completed all four levels of training at Kushi Institute in Becket, MA. She also holds a certificate of recognition from Kushi Institute International for macrobiotic teaching.
She has raised therapy and service dogs since 1996 and has created homemade natural pet food for dogs and cats to help them heal various health challenges such as skin allergies, arthritis, and excess weight gain. Sanae is dedicated to helping pets live longer healthier lives, making for happy pets.
Sanae was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1993, which inspired her to learn about macrobiotics as a path to healing. Eight years later, she suffered a near fatal car accident in the Arizona desert. She was able to overcome both of these extreme life challenges through practicing and embracing the philosophy of macrobiotics. Sanae has taught and cooked extensively throughout California, at places such as Williams Sonoma, California Sushi Academy, Southern California Culinary School and Erewhon Natural Foods Market. She has taught internationally at Health Classic, A Taste of Health Cruise, Kushi Institute International Macrobiotic Summer Conference, Kushi Institute of Japan, as well as in the Caribbean, UK and Europe. It is her desire to help plant a seed of physical, intellectual and spiritual well being and happiness that will flourish within each person that she meets.
Sanae and her husband Eric Lechasseur, chef and restaurateur of the Venice vegan organic macrobiotic cafe “seed,” have collaborated on a cookbook, Love, Eric & Sanae. They live with three Golden Retrievers for whom Sanae cooks macrobiotically, of course!
